Where your appointment is the most important one.

Session Information

Many establishments offer treatments in strict time increments in order to (understandably) maximize the number of appointments per day.  This can result in negative impressions from clients who pay for an hour massage but only receive 50-minutes worth of service. This arises as the practitioner is required to clean and set-up the room, take a brief history and ask preferences, provide the massage and then prepare for the next client all within the space of the scheduled hour.

I have decided to pursue a different approach.  As indicated below, I have allowed time for each step of the process, while providing the amount of 'hands-on' service you paid for.

Intake/History/Receiving - You will have the ability to complete an intake/ history form prior to your session; we will review the form and your goals before the session begins. You will be afforded the opportunity to update your history and ask questions prior to each session. I will welcome you, ask you your treatment goals, introduce you to the massage environment, show you the location of the restroom, etc.

Treatment - (30 - 60 - 90 minutes) This range allows the opportunity to address a specific problem area, or incorporate a spot-treatment into a full-body treatment, depending on your needs and time constraints.

Recovery - You will be encouraged to remain on the table to 'recover' and take deep breaths before getting off the table. This is important because blood pressure drops during massage.  If requested, I am happy to assist you to a seated position on the table before leaving the room for you to get dressed. This assistance helps to ensure your safety. I will encourage you to increase your hydration for the next 48 hours after your massage.

Cleaning & Preparation - At the start of each business day and after each appointment I will clean the room and equipment, change sheets and towels, refill lotion bottles, etc. My goal is to provide a restful AND healthy environment for each client. Please note that I will only use EPA approved disinfectants for spa use.

Total Time for Routine Appointments = Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes per routine 60-minute massage. This affords time to review health concerns and treatment goals, ask questions, and recover after the session before resuming activity. (You may schedule longer or shorter appointments based on your specific goals.)
